Kristen Crockett:

Hello everyone and welcome to the courageous destiny build a business and life you love podcast.

Kristen Crockett:

I am your hostess, Kristen Crockett, expert business and life coach.

Kristen Crockett:

And today I have the incredible honor of interviewing Marcin Wapsczynski.

Kristen Crockett:

I got it.

Kristen Crockett:

I know I got it.

Kristen Crockett:

Wapczynski.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Perfect.

Kristen Crockett:

And he is a certified divorce coach, single dad, and certified transition and recovery coach Marson.

Kristen Crockett:

Welcome to my podcast.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Thank you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Thank you, Kristen, for having me.

Kristen Crockett:

You know, I, I, we met at the Stan's mansion in Chicago at the masquerade ball for survivors of domestic violence.

Kristen Crockett:

And I remember being so moved when I got to, when I looked out at the audience as I was speaking at that event and I looked out at the audience and just saw the men survivors.

Kristen Crockett:

And when I heard that you were a divorce coach, I was really interested to interview you on my podcast because I really feel like we need a different perspective.

Kristen Crockett:

Like a lot of times when I would think of survivors of domestic violence, I think of women and that's not the case.

Kristen Crockett:

You know, that's not always the case.

Kristen Crockett:

And so, and then I also think that there's such a different perspective that, you know, a man can bring to divorce.

Kristen Crockett:

And so I'm, I'm just so excited to have you here today.

Kristen Crockett:

What inspired you to become a certified divorce coach?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Thank you, Kristen, once again for having me on, for giving me this opportunity to really share my story to, to your audience.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Please listening to us at, at the moment or later on in the future, they'll listen to us.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And what really have inspired me to become a certified divorce coach is a five years ago, Kristen, I went through a divorce.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was the first one in my family to ever go through a divorce.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

There is no one else out there in my family that, that got divorced.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That was the hardest life changing event in my life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

My first girlfriend became my first wife.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We had great careers, we had beautiful home, we had a really good lifestyle, you know, where we can travel, we can afford everything that we wanted and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We had two, we have two beautiful children.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

My son Aiden is 13 now, my daughter Victoria is nine and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So we had a really good life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, we got married young.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was 21, my former wife was 20, and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And we traveled with a lot of good things.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, the family life came in and what happened is, you know, if you ask me, like, what, what has really happened?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, why did you, how did you get divorced?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, what happened is, you know, I tell everyone that if you don't work on your marriage, you work on your divorce.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And we grew apart.

Kristen Crockett:

That's powerful.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what, you know, getting a little bit more into this story where, you know, I'm gonna take you all the way to the end, you know, where that marriage has fallen apart, basically.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It felt like two strangers living in the same house under the same roof.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And it got to the point where, you know what, we decided that let's take some time apart because, you know, we, for those 15 years, being together, being best friends, and then all of a sudden it's, you're not longer a best friend.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And it sucks, you know, living in, in the same home with a stranger, right, that it used to be your best friend.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And so I moved out for three weeks.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Actually, it was around this time of the year.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It was during December, it was Christmas and New Year.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I moved out to my parents house for three weeks.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I had my children with me because they had the break from school.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And after three weeks, it was already after New Year's.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And because I was going back to work, kids were going back to school.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And it was Sunday evening, Sunday afternoon when I got home, parked the car in the garage and there was pitch black at home.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

No, there was no one at home.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So once we got inside the house, you know, the kids missed their home.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

They missed sleeping in their beds.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We came in and flipped all the light switches on, turn on the light.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I missed my home as well.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I missed sleeping in a bed with my wife.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And she wasn't home half an hour afterwards.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

She would come home, she was grocery shopping.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I helped her with their bags.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, we put them on the countertop and we started, you know, putting the groceries away and you know, imagine yourself, you know, standing, you know, by your countertop in the kitchen.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, your husband or your wife is in front of you and you haven't spoken to them in three weeks.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I have missed my wife.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We haven't talked or anything.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We haven't emails or text, phone calls or nothing.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We just had three weeks time apart.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And when I started the conversation, I knew right away that something was wrong, that she would look downward at me, she would not respond or anything.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I tried the conversation, but nothing would work.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I felt the energy that, that something is really wrong.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I got to the point where I said that, hey, I'm moving back in.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And she told me, no, you're not.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, I'm moving back in, and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I'm like, what do you mean?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, I'm paying my bills, right, I'm paying the mortgage, all those different things and I cannot move it back into my home.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And she said no.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So, you know, we went about doing our things and 10 minutes after, I hear a knock on my front door.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I open up door and I see a female sheriff officer.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I'm like, okay, okay, how can I help you?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Well, we received a call from your wife and she has told them that she does not feel safe at home.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was, I was stunned.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So the two officers came in, they took me to the side, they listened to her story, my story.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And it got to the point where, you know what, Kristen, the police officer said that one of you has to leave the house.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And back then I didn't know my laws or anything.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, I still had my suitcase unpacked from my parents house.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It was, you know, in front of the, the doors and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So you know what, I'm like, okay, I'm gonna, I'm gonna just move out.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But prior to all that, I remember I was in a kitchen, kneeling on my, on my knee because my former wife told my children, my son was 7, my daughter was 4.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Say goodbyes to your dad.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And it hasn't hit me, you know, at that moment, but like a couple minutes after when I was kneeling at the kitchen floor, on the kitchen floor, my four year old daughter came by, she gave me this big bear hug and she said, daddy, don't leave, Daddy don't leave.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, at that moment I felt like a statue.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I felt numb and like my soul, my spirit just left the body.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I wasn't, I can describe, like I was in shock.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I didn't know what was even happening.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And my daughter, she was just crying profusely.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And then my son, you know, came down too as well.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And he didn't know what was happening either.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So he gave me another big bear hug.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I have two of my kids, you know, on my shoulders, just hugging me, just crying, saying, daddy, don't leave, Daddy don't leave.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And then, you know, you're, you know, the mom is just pulling them, ripping them off of you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Say your, your father's got to leave.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Your father's got to leave.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

As soon as I stood up, I just walked out of the home numb, just, just in disbelief.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I, I felt like a failure and I couldn't even think clearly.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was just so stressed out, so over on whelm, like where am I gonna go now, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have just my suitcase.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Where am I going?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Thank God that I Have my parents house, you know.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So it took me half an hour to drive to my parents house.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I knock on my, on the front door, my mom's open up and she's like, what are you doing here?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And she said, I told my mom that, you know what, she doesn't want me home anymore.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Police came and they told me that I have to leave.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So that was it, you know, a couple, couple days I have made my decision that, you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I don't want to live my life like this anymore.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Where Kristen?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I cried myself to sleep.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I had suicidal thoughts and, and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I made my decision that I'm done.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I want divorce.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So to me, I, I had no one really to go to to ask for help.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Where do I even go?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

All I knew is, okay, I need a divorce attorney, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I went online and I started searching like, okay, you know, who, who are the attorneys in, in my area?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I had to take time off from work, go to one attorney, second attorney, and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So with the second attorney, you know, they asked me, hey, did she file?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I'm like, I don't know.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So they went to the computer and said that she did not file.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But I have some bad news for you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I'm like, what is it?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Well, she filed an order of protection against you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I didn't even know what that was.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I never got into the, the trouble with the law.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So she's like, for 21 days you cannot, you know, come close to the home.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You cannot call, text your kids or anything.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And Kristin, that was like another stab in a kitchen knife in my back where I was just stunned.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Another blow.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Like what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

What else can go worse?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, like I missed my kids.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It's, it's.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I spend my time always with them.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Now all of a sudden, you know, they are completely cut out, you know, from you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So you know what, I did not hire their attorney.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I went to the third attorney and hired the third attorney.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And he's like that, you know what, we have to remove that, you know, order of protection against you and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I didn't know, you know what, I had no clothes or anything, so I had to call the police to get an escort.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, she changed all the locks in my home.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

My best friend, I saw on the door bell camera and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It was just crazy, you know what, how my life has completely turned upside down.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And so, you know, with all this, first couple months were the hardest because I was just completely numb.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was just like a zombie.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I would Go to work.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was in meetings, but I didn't know how I got through the day because I was just stuck in this.

Kristen Crockett:

Well, I'm hearing and I want to just backtrack a little bit for my listeners just to do a recap.

Kristen Crockett:

Okay, so here you are, you're unloading your groceries one day.

Kristen Crockett:

Now obviously you had had some time apart, you were at your parents house or what have you.

Kristen Crockett:

But there was.

Kristen Crockett:

And then you go to answer your door, there's a sheriff, and then the next thing you know, you're hugging your children goodbye, there's an order of protection out against you and you can't see your family.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yes.

Kristen Crockett:

And that's.

Kristen Crockett:

I, I want, I want the audience to just get present to that for a minute because it's like, like I can feel the, you know, I can feel the what is going on in my life, right?

Kristen Crockett:

I can feel that now.

Kristen Crockett:

Obviously there's moments that happen in our lives that guide us to the next step, right?

Kristen Crockett:

They guide us to the next step.

Kristen Crockett:

And so you're going through this time now and you are having to get your footing, right?

Kristen Crockett:

That's how I, I look at it, right?

Kristen Crockett:

You're having to get your footing.

Kristen Crockett:

Can you take us?

Kristen Crockett:

Then what was your next step after that?

Kristen Crockett:

So you're, you're getting your footing and then how did you get into starting to heal?

Kristen Crockett:

Because I know that's a big part of your story.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So it's super hard, especially if you do not have no one really to help you, to guide you throughout the whole process.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because think about if you know that you are someone today, if your children have been taken away from you, that you have lost your best friend, you have lost your identity, you lost your family, lost your home and you have hit the rock bottom where you're completely starting back from zero and there's no one there really for you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

My parents were there for me, some of my friends that would support me say hey, you got this, stay strong, blah, blah, and those different.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But there's just so much more to it is how do I deal with this nasty, negative criticizing, blaming self talk that keeps emotionally destroying me internally, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That I am a failure, that I am this piece of blah, blah, blah.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

All those different things that you know, I beat myself, I blame myself.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Like how could I let this to this, this and that, you know, that I'm not a father.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It's, it's, it's so scary that, you know, I didn't even know that I had so much negativity and so Much nastiness within us and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I was angry at God, at the whole world, at myself.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, all I would do is work, come home, sit on the couch, watch tv and I would just life go by, you know, now I have to pay child support, childcare, all the other expenses, my expenses.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And emotionally and financially has been super hard on me because, you know, I couldn't afford mortgage or rent back then.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, I see my friends, they're living this happy, good life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

They can go out, have fun, enjoy themselves.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And here am I stuck, loser, all those different things, you know, this negative self talk.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So you know what, where the whole transition has started, I felt like someone, you know, like to me, I believe in God that has pushed me because you know what I say that, you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

God had to break me down first.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

He had to rebuild me and prepare me for something much bigger that I did not even know or had within me.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So what I started, Kristen, what really has helped me is I went online and I googled how do I get through a divorce?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So first thing that I started is I started reading books.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

The first book that really has helped me was the Power is within you by Lewis Hayes.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I started learning a lot from the book and applying into my life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Then I started.

Kristen Crockett:

She's one of my favorites.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah, it was, it was, it's huge.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And then you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Also to what have really helped me, started that healing journey is Mr.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Les Brown, one of the motivational speakers.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So on YouTube, I would, you know, listen on my way to work and from work to motivational videos.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I started learning from the successful people, you know, about their mindset, about their habits, about their goals and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know what I always say, what you're seeking, it's seeking you as well.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And when the student is ready, the teacher appears.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So what have happened in my life is on Facebook.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I found Les Brown because I just love Les Brown.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

He has helped me in my life as well.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And he had this program called the My goodness, the Power Voice.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

The Power Voice, right.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I enrolled, I spent a couple thousand dollars on this program.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have learned, you know, how powerful our stories are.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I thought that I was the only one in my life in this whole world going through a divorce.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And Kristen, when I.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah, we feel so alone, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah, yeah, it sucked, you know, being in this loneliness.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And when I heard other people's stories, I'm like, wow, they have so much worse than I do, you know, my divorce compared to their stories.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

What they were able to go through and overcome.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It was mind blowing.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And through Les Brown, I have met another mindset coach and a transition coach.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know what, it's.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Back then I didn't really know anything about coaching because I just have been stuck in with work, family, home cooking, cleaning, doing extra circular activities, going on vacation, all those different things, you know, personal development, growth, never crossed my mind.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But now that I started this healing journey, because you know what, there are so many emotions that I was going through.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I didn't know how to deal with jealousy, with hatred because I hated my ex, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I had resentment towards her, I had stomach knots, you know what, when I was dropping off my kids and just leaving.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And it was just, I didn't know why.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have so much, you know, nastiness within me.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, through that book that I have read, you know, the Powers within youn by Lewis Hayes, I have understood, you know, about the laws of the universe, about the thoughts, about the feelings, about the emotions and things like that.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And on my own I started that healing, that rebuilding journey and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So that was a stepping stone for me.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, that coach that I had been introduced to through Les Brown, you know what, in the beginning, because you know, after we sold our home and you know, paid off all of our debt, I only had $8,000 left.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And the six month program that I wanted to enroll because they promised so much, like everything that I was looking for because I'm like, I'm stuck.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, I wanted different results in my life, but I kept doing the same thing over and over and I didn't know why, you know, I'm getting those results.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I was blaming myself, criticizing myself.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I'm like, I asked myself, what's the worst thing that can happen?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I already lost everything.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have hit the rock bottom.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I'm like, I'm just gonna go all in.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I'm gonna invest everything that I have, every single dollar into this program.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Never in my life I would spend that many thousands of dollars on myself on personal development.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But I'm like, what's the worst thing that can happen, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I'm like, okay, I'm betting all my chips and myself on my life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And let me tell you, Kristen, that have been one of best, many best decisions that I have done invested.

Kristen Crockett:

Oh my gosh.

Kristen Crockett:

Can I, can I stop you just for a second?

Kristen Crockett:

Okay.

Kristen Crockett:

Because I really wanted to, to get my listeners present to this energy, right?

Kristen Crockett:

You want to, you start to see this possibility in your life that Things can go a different way.

Kristen Crockett:

And you take the last bits of money that you have in this world and you put it down in faith to, to help you transition your life, to help you transform your life.

Kristen Crockett:

And that energy is so, so critical when hiring a coach.

Kristen Crockett:

I know a lot of people don't always understand that because they're like, oh my gosh, it's so expensive.

Kristen Crockett:

But it's an investment in you and it's an investment in your future.

Kristen Crockett:

And when you do that, you are in at a all in at a whole new level.

Kristen Crockett:

And I've got to imagine that you were probably not too late to any of your coaching calls.

Kristen Crockett:

You're probably did all of your coaching homework, right.

Kristen Crockett:

And you really took a deep dive into yourself.

Kristen Crockett:

That energy is really powerful.

Kristen Crockett:

So I just wanted to showcase that for listeners because a lot of people I hear out there, why would I hire a coach?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah, no, it's, it's.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I want to get off the topic, but I'll continue.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, so that was my best decision that I have done for myself.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what, A lot of times, Kristen, what was stopping me was the fear, limiting beliefs and the self doubt.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I did not believe in myself, right.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But I did it anyway because I did not want to live this stuck life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because, you know, I see all these people, they're so successful, they have such a wonderful lifestyle, they have wonderful relationships, they are happy.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

This is the lifestyle that I wanted, right.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And this is what I have.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So after, you know, I invested and for the six months, you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because you got to make a decision in your life and also to know what you want, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because if you don't, then you're just going to drift through life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You're going to be stuck.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So when I made that decision, you know, we would have our coaching sessions once a week.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I would have my routine that the coach have gave us, morning routine, evening routine, and I started doing every single day for seven days and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I was starting to learn about, you know, about goal setting, about, you know, paradigm shifts, about letting go of fear, about our conscious mind, subconscious mind and all those different things.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And it just blew my mind away.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have understood how powerful, how limitless human beings we are.

Kristen Crockett:

Right?

Kristen Crockett:

We are there.

Kristen Crockett:

Everything is an illusion, right?

Kristen Crockett:

Our limits are an illusion.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It's, it's just.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what, Kristen?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Once I have immersed myself with people that are on a different level of their thinking, it's just a different mindset, different world that they operate, that they live in.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was Just so grateful to God, you know, for blessing and putting me in, in this space of these wonderful people.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because there were, I wasn't the only one that was going through, you know, life changing event in my life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

There were many as well that were looking for the same thing or personal things as I was, that I want to better their life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know what, that investment in that coach have really propelled me, you know, to the next level where I was able to understand who I was, you know, why I was going through, what I was going internally.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because, you know, especially for us men, you know, our society teaches us to be strong, to be tough, you know, not to shed a tear.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And we men don't ask for help because hey, we're tough, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Hey, I don't need to help.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Emotionally they are self destructing, Self destructing because this is what I was going through.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was living in this emotional negative prison.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was living in this negative prison.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And through that journey, you know what, now I have healed, now I have rediscovered myself, regained my self confidence.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I was able to rebuild my new self identity.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what, that back then I didn't even know what that was.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have learned so much about myself, that person that I am today, who I was back then.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what if you told me, hey, five years ago, you're going to be certified divorce code transition recovery coach, you're going to travel the world, speak on stages, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You're going to be a very successful unfranchised business owner.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You're going to help single parents globally.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I would say you must be crazy, Kristen.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It's all possible.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

It's all possible.

Kristen Crockett:

It is.

Kristen Crockett:

It is all possible.

Kristen Crockett:

And I, I've often felt the same way with courageous destiny.

Kristen Crockett:

If somebody were to tell me when I was selling technology for 13 years, you know, with triplets in tow, that I would leave corporate America and I would become an entrepreneur and I would become a podcaster.

Kristen Crockett:

And I talk about courageous destiny and from the heart, rage destiny.

Kristen Crockett:

I'd be like, are you, are you crazy?

Kristen Crockett:

Like there's no way.

Kristen Crockett:

But once you don't see the limits.

Kristen Crockett:

And I want to showcase that for, for the listeners that are listening to us today.

Kristen Crockett:

When you don't see the limits anymore, when you understand that they're an illusion, you don't have to hold yourself back anymore.

Kristen Crockett:

You can start to listen to your heart.

Kristen Crockett:

You can start to realize that you can create your life from your heart into a life that makes a difference, that fulfills you, that takes your pain and transforms it into healing.

Kristen Crockett:

That that's really available to you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So absolutely, absolutely it is.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And so then after this whole transformation, I look back on my journey and I read that book thinking, go rich.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And that's a great book, isn't it?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And Napoleon Hill said that, hey, hey, if there is a problem in our communities and societies, you know, help the people out there and create a business out of it.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I'm like, that's a brilliant idea.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So, you know, I, I looked at the divorce community and In United States, 48 of divorces are happening.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So 2, 1 and 2, someone's getting divorced.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, second marriages are 80 divorce ratio.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I'm like, divorces are a pandemic.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

80%, 80% second marriages.

Kristen Crockett:

Do you think that's because people don't do the work and they just kind of show up and do the same thing?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Exactly.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That's what it is, the same program, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, I'm like, I was dating this girl back then and she helped me, you know, she's like, why don't you look into some kind of divorce coach or something?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I didn't, not even know that such a profession exists out there.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So we found an online program that was a couple thousand dollar investment as well.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But now, hey, one person have changed my life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I'm going to continue investing in myself, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I did that and this is how I actually became a certified divorce coach, transition and recovery coach.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And through this whole journey, I have rediscovered my why, my purpose that Kristen, now I am on a mission, you know, to serve, help our single parents out there that are either going through a divorce, that are post divorce, help them heal, rebuild and rediscover themselves.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because now I have the knowledge, I have the experience, now I have the tools to help that person that I once used to be.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And you know, I am on this mission to create, you know, this community for our parents where they can come and they have the support.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because right now with my coaching businesses, I have divorce attorneys that I work with, financial advisors, therapists, realtors, stylists, nutritionists, personal trainers.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because I know what support team do I need for that individual that I once was that we can help them transform their life, to also help them extract that gifts, that talents, that potential that you have within you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That's why you need that one person in your life, someone really to come take your hand and guide you through this process.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because you know what, Kristen, I believe every single One of us have greatness within us.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We all do.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We have so many gifts, we have so many talents.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We have so much potential within us that is just stuck in there.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I love what Mr.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Les Brown have said that think about this.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

The graveyard.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

The graveyard is the richest place on earth because so many musicians, so many doctors, so many, you know, talented, you know, people have died, have died because fear has robbed them of their talents.

Kristen Crockett:

Oh, my gosh.

Kristen Crockett:

Did you guys hear that?

Kristen Crockett:

We've got.

Kristen Crockett:

I'm gonna.

Kristen Crockett:

I want to break that out.

Kristen Crockett:

Out.

Kristen Crockett:

Not just for the listeners, but for myself as well.

Kristen Crockett:

The graveyard is the richest place on earth.

Kristen Crockett:

All of the musicians, all of the talent, all of the doctors, all of the dreams.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah.

Kristen Crockett:

Will it be realized?

Kristen Crockett:

Will it be realized?

Kristen Crockett:

Will.

Kristen Crockett:

Will your life be realized?

Kristen Crockett:

You know, that's why I.

Kristen Crockett:

I create.

Kristen Crockett:

I remember, remember having a moment years ago where I had my triplets.

Kristen Crockett:

You know, I have triplets.

Kristen Crockett:

They're 17.

Kristen Crockett:

Yeah, 17 years old now.

Kristen Crockett:

But at the time I made the transition to coach, it was.

Kristen Crockett:

They were five, you know, five, six years old.

Kristen Crockett:

And I remember talking to my coach and saying, well, I really want to be a coach now.

Kristen Crockett:

I can feel it.

Kristen Crockett:

Like it's my purpose.

Kristen Crockett:

Like, this is what I'm supposed to be doing.

Kristen Crockett:

And I'm like, but I really can't because I've got the triplets.

Kristen Crockett:

And I remember him saying, consider the example.

Kristen Crockett:

What kind of life do you want for them?

Kristen Crockett:

And it was in that answer.

Kristen Crockett:

My answer to that was, I want them to live their dreams.

Kristen Crockett:

I want them.

Kristen Crockett:

I don't want them, you know, to rot under the neon lights of corporate America like I was for so many years, doing things that I thought I had to do in order to survive, you know, And I'm not saying everybody in corporate is doing that, but that was my experience.

Kristen Crockett:

And, you know, to make that leap was very scary.

Kristen Crockett:

It took a lot of faith, and it took things like God, it took mentors.

Kristen Crockett:

It took Louise Hayes.

Kristen Crockett:

I was.

Kristen Crockett:

I was.

Kristen Crockett:

I'm very much a big Louise Hayes fan.

Kristen Crockett:

You know, when she talks about where your energy gets stuck in your body and, you know, how you can use your mind and.

Kristen Crockett:

And your power within to heal your body is really pretty extraordinary, right?

Kristen Crockett:

And.

Kristen Crockett:

And meeting people like you, you know, Marson, you know, all of these things, your tribe gets to.

Kristen Crockett:

Starts building and you start growing with your mind and in your heart.

Kristen Crockett:

And before you know it, for me, it's almost 12 years later, and I've got two podcasts and I've got group Coaching and private coaching and different things that I do that really are all with this idea that you don't have to be stuck in your life.

Kristen Crockett:

Thank you for bringing that to me.

Kristen Crockett:

That was so powerful.

Kristen Crockett:

I, I love Les Brown.

Kristen Crockett:

I've never heard that particular quote before.

Kristen Crockett:

Don't like what?

Kristen Crockett:

I was just trying to, to make it eloquent, like in my own words.

Kristen Crockett:

And I was going to come up with, don't die, let your dreams live.

Kristen Crockett:

Right.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because it's just, I'm not sure if you read that book called Outwitting the Devil.

Kristen Crockett:

Yes.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

All right, so, you know, it's, it's.

Kristen Crockett:

We're doing scary stuff.

Kristen Crockett:

We've got to read that stuff.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

95 of us are just drifting through life, just drifting.

Kristen Crockett:

Well, and I really, when you, when you say that book, I want, I wanna.

Kristen Crockett:

If you're out there, you know, that voice in our head, one of the possibilities I created, reading that book, Outwitting the Devil by Napoleon Hill, that's really an extraordinary book that remained in the archives for many, many years and until his passing, I believe, and until it might even have been his wife's passing as well.

Kristen Crockett:

But they did finally publish that book and it was truly that voice in your head, if it's not leading you, God, to me, God is going to lead me toward my dreams.

Kristen Crockett:

God wants me to have, be happy.

Kristen Crockett:

God wants me to realize, you know, all the love and all of the goodness this world has to offer.

Kristen Crockett:

So who's the other guy, you know, who's the other guy in my head leading me away, telling me I can't do things, self doubting, Telling me I can't follow that health program to, to get me to a better state of health.

Kristen Crockett:

Telling me that, you know, I won't get the job or the career that I want.

Kristen Crockett:

Telling me that I'll never find the love of my life telling me, you know, lies.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah, yeah, right.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So true, so powerful.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That's why, you know what, I read so many books right now.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I love reading books.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Never in my life I had read so many books that, that, that.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And then also too is I did this program you probably know about Landmark Forum.

Kristen Crockett:

Yes, I've been through Landmark, so I'm.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Doing the advanced program next month and so on.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And because we're talking about the Voice and I did not know this.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So that's why, ladies and gentlemen, who is listening right now, is find out really what you want, right?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

If you, or when you're stuck, hire that coach, whether it's a Mindset coach, relationship coach, financial coach, or a business coach that you need invest in yourself.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know, treat yourself right, treat yourself because there are many wonderful coaches.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Do your research as well because there's many of them and you'll get overwhelmed.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Reach out to Kristen as well.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

She's a phenomenal coach.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

She has transformed many people's lives and businesses.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So I really admire her and support her.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And what I want to say is about that voice, not sure if you knew or not, but that voice is not your voice.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

In your head, we all have it, but that's not your voice.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Think about that.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That is not your voice.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

If you can just take away this from today's podcast, that this is not my voice.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And if you can quiet that voice and follow your intuition, follow your mindfulness, follow your strong, powerful will, what are the possibilities for you out there?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Think about that.

Kristen Crockett:

Marson.

Kristen Crockett:

Oh, yeah.

Kristen Crockett:

Well, I can't end it here, so I have to interrupt this beautiful energy you just created.

Kristen Crockett:

But wow.

Kristen Crockett:

It isn't your voice.

Kristen Crockett:

It's lies.

Kristen Crockett:

If it doesn't leave you, lead you forward, it's a lie.

Kristen Crockett:

Okay, I've got to ask you a question, everybody.

Kristen Crockett:

I have to ask two questions of every guest and then I'm gonna have to have you back on my podcast because we have to do more things to help people together.

Kristen Crockett:

I believe we're destined to do that.

Kristen Crockett:

But I want to ask you what is the most courageous thing you've ever done?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That investment in that coach?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That would be the biggest never invested couple thousands of dollars.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So that was.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That was the biggest.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That was it.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That was.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That has really have transformed my life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That was.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yep, that was the.

Kristen Crockett:

Have that kind of love and belief in yourself and in your possibility.

Kristen Crockett:

I.

Kristen Crockett:

I agree with you.

Kristen Crockett:

Very courageous.

Kristen Crockett:

Very courageous.

Kristen Crockett:

And then second.

Kristen Crockett:

And look at where it's led you.

Kristen Crockett:

It's led you to a whole new career.

Kristen Crockett:

It's led you down the path of being able to live a life without limits or at least know when you are not being limitless and being able to self.

Kristen Crockett:

Correct.

Kristen Crockett:

Right.

Kristen Crockett:

Because that's really the name of the game, right?

Kristen Crockett:

To be able to be that aware, to be able to discern.

Kristen Crockett:

And the second question I have for you is what is the most courageous thing left on your bucket list?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Most courageous thing that last month.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

But you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

There really is.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So where I'm at, the vision that I have for myself, that download that I have from our God is help.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Right now I am helping St.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Jude children, hospitals.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I love helping giving to Communities and charities.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I am a board member of two non profit organizations, legacy leaders and a sports philanthropy.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So my biggest things is helping St.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Jude children, hospitals, donating the $10,000 check in person.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have an orphanage in Uganda that I'm helping, donating as well on monthly basis.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I will help homeless shelters here in United States.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And then also too is build this global community for single parents where we are globally connected, where we can support one another and where I have all the top experts that will help me, you know, like you're one of them, is help me to transform single parents life because I see way too many are struggling emotionally, way too many are struggling financially.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have the support system in place that, you know what, I just, you know, need more help.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I cannot do this alone.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And this is my purpose, this is my life.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

That's what I dedicate my life to, is helping single moms, single dads that are out there right now listening to us struggling, that are suffering, that are stuck in their lives, that are unhappy, that are really lost, they don't know what they want, where they're going is.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have that people.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I, I have a very rich network of very successful people, very humble people.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

They really do care.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

I have amazing opportunities that I can open up to individuals to really propel their life and their children and their family's life to the next level.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So that's, that's my next big thing on my bucket list.

Kristen Crockett:

Wow.

Kristen Crockett:

Yeah, wow.

Kristen Crockett:

I am, I would be incredibly honored to be a part of that.

Kristen Crockett:

And I have so many people I want to introduce you to.

Kristen Crockett:

So if you're out there, if you're listening, I want you to think about Martin's or Marson's, Marson's dream.

Kristen Crockett:

And if you know anybody, please reach out.

Kristen Crockett:

We will have Marson's information in the show notes so you can reach out directly to Marson and then also contact.

Kristen Crockett:

You know, don't leave that, that idea or that person.

Kristen Crockett:

If you hear something and you're like, I could help or I know somebody who could help be a part of that, please reach out.

Kristen Crockett:

Don't keep.

Kristen Crockett:

Those are the things that we don't want to keep within us.

Kristen Crockett:

Those are the downloads, those are the little God winks that he gives us, those little ideas.

Kristen Crockett:

So act on it.

Kristen Crockett:

Act on it.

Kristen Crockett:

Act on it.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Yeah.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And yes, no.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And the last thing that I would like to tell our audience, that there's no coincidence that you are listening to this podcast today.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You needed to hear this message so you can help either yourself or help someone that you know or that you will come across with.

Kristen Crockett:

Absolutely.

Kristen Crockett:

Absolutely.

Kristen Crockett:

All right.

Kristen Crockett:

Well, listeners, like, I am so moved myself.

Kristen Crockett:

I'm forgetting where I am.

Kristen Crockett:

I'm like, oh, I'm a hostess here.

Kristen Crockett:

So listeners, please reach out to Marson.

Kristen Crockett:

If you know somebody going through divorce, if, you know, you know, I've been through divorce.

Kristen Crockett:

I've, you know, I'm a single mom.

Kristen Crockett:

Right.

Kristen Crockett:

It.

Kristen Crockett:

It is a very, very.

Kristen Crockett:

It.

Kristen Crockett:

It really helps to have that kind of support and have that ability to rebuild, you know, and what the benefit is, is to be able to do it quicker and to be able to do it with help and to not have to go through so much pain so you can get to the other side and start creating your life and creating that amazing, awesome life that you deserve.

Kristen Crockett:

So.

Kristen Crockett:

And that God wants for you.

Kristen Crockett:

So thank you, Marcin, for being on my show.

Kristen Crockett:

Thank you, listeners, for listening to this very special podcast today.

Kristen Crockett:

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Thank you very much, Kristen.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And the last words to our audience is, I want to tell you that I love you, that you are enough, that you are brave, that you are strong, that you are beautiful.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You are loved.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We care about you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

You are not alone.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And we, I, Kristen, my support team Kristin, support.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

We are here for you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

So don't be afraid, don't be ashamed.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Please ask, reach out for help.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Because you know what?

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Do this for you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Do this for your children and for your family, and this will be the best decision that you could have done for yourself.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

Thank you.

Marcin Wapsczynski:

And I really do appreciate you and looking forward speaking with.
